Course Description: This workshop explores the use of movement and embodied practices in clinical settings to deepen self-awareness, foster creativity, and enhance relational interplay with clients. Drawing from principles of dance/movement therapy, somatic psychology, and mindfulness, participants will enhance their tracking skills and discern which moments hold potential for deeper connection and movement exploration. Through group discussion, we will discuss challenging moments in clinical practice while bringing awareness to what is implicitly emerging in the body/bodies and identify ways to somatically resource as a community to remain present with one another and with clients.
Note: This webinar meets the Implicit Bias continuing education requirement for counselors in Illinois.
