A co-founder and faculty of EEIC, Laura Allen is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC), a board-certified dance/movement therapist (BC-DMT), and a certified movement analyst (GL-CMA). As the former Clinical Coordinator at Columbia College, she networked throughout the Chicagoland area to establish internships for students. Laura Allen is currently serving as the Alternate Route Education Subcommittee (ARES) Chair for the ADTA Education Committee. Her professional background gives her the expertise to provide our alternate route students support in their training process and professional development.
Laura has worked in a variety of clinical settings including private practice at New Prairie Counseling Center, adult day programs, and psychiatric hospital units including inpatient and intensive outpatient treatment. Her areas of research and expertise include clinical supervision and the older adult population.
As a counseling educator, Laura provides clinical training and supervision for professional counselors and dance/movement therapists. Previously a full-time faculty member at Columbia College Chicago, she has taught courses including various DMT theories, counseling theories and techniques, and supervision courses for students doing practicum work. She has presented workshops at local and national conferences and been published in the academic journal, The Arts in Psychotherapy. As a former Clinical Coordinator at Columbia, she is well connected to the network of mental health services throughout the Chicagoland area.
Stacey is one of the Co-Founders and owners of EEIC. She holds a bachelor of fine art (BFA) degree in Dance from the University of Illinois and a masters degree (MA) in Dance/Movement Therapy from Columbia College Chicago. Her advanced training includes a certification in Laban Movement Analysis, two levels of training in the Internal Family Systems psychotherapeutic model and EMDR training. She weaves all modalities together in her work as a therapist.
In addition to EEIC, Stacey also owns Mind Body Connections, a successful group therapy practice with location in Naperville & Chicago. Stacey has taught courses in counseling, dance/movement therapy, and movement analysis at Columbia College Chicago, Roosevelt University, Aurora University, and internationally through the Tanter Dance/Movement Therapy Association in the Czech Republic. For 8 years she served on the American Dance Therapy Association board of directors (ADTA) as Central region Member-at-large and Secretary, and then for another 6 years as a member of its Certification Board (DMTCB). She has presented numerous workshops, CE events and in spring 2025 will be the Keynote Speaker for the ADTA spring summit virtual conference.Â

Kris is one of the Co-Founders of EEIC. He received his bachelor of science in Biology from the University of Illinois and a master of arts in Dance/Movement Therapy from Naropa University. He is trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (Level I) working with the navigation of trauma and is certified in Laban Movement Analysis.
Kris is in private practice and also provides clinical supervision to dance therapists and counselors nationally and internationally. He has taught at the undergraduate level at Barat College and Columbia College Chicago, the graduate level at Columbia College Chicago and Adler University, and has provided educational workshops at The School of the Art Institute.
Kris has served as vice president of the Illinois Chapter of Dance Therapy and served on the nominating committee of the American Dance Therapy Association. He has facilitated workshops nationally and internationally and has provided CE events for clinical supervisors in the Chicagoland area.
Outside of the therapeutic arena, Kris has been co-director of Sling Dance Co. and I.M.P. As a performer, he believes in the investigation into how movement and the creative process are the links to brain organization and healing. He continues to choreograph works that focus on present moment experiencing and the confrontation of gender and social norms.
Kim is one of the co-founders and owners of EEIC. Since graduating from Columbia College in 2006, Kim has worked as a dance/movement therapist in hospital settings, treatment centers, and private practice. Her current interests include Authentic Movement, matriscence, positive psychology, trauma treatment and resiliency. Â Â She particularly seeks to cultivate empowerment, self acceptance and positive body image for women. Kim joined the faculty at Columbia College in 2009, and she has served as treasurer and president of the Illinois chapter of the ADTA, and she is currently serving on the Committee on Approval for graduate programs in dance/movement therapy and counseling.
